“How you want it?? Show us our opponent!!”

-Lil Wayne

On Friday, January 29,  J-town dominated the Eagles’ gym with a final score of 67-60 against Eastern High School. Richard Kennedy scored 19 points in the game including a few 3 pointers. He commented, “We came together in the stretch and made big plays.”

Coach Jeff Morrow agreed and had this to say about Richard’s performance, “He had a lot of big plays and hit many important free throws.” Thomas Jackson who made 13 points really showed his determination in the game. Daniel Ross also did his thing scoring 12 points and a high 10 rebounds. He really had his head in the game. “Daniel played well and rebounded the ball well with a lot of energy,” explained Coach Morrow. Our team is really coming together this year and looking forward to winning all the games ahead.

“We played good and really hard; our intensity wasn’t up in the 4th quarter but toward the end it got up and that’s how we won.” commented Coach Daniel Hawkins. Both coaches feel the whole team contributed to winning this game. Our fans were there to cheer us on also. Some were painted from head to toe with love for our Chargers. Eastern may have had more fans in attendance on their home court, but J-town had more spirit and love in the air. Chargers keep up the good work!!
