Why Is The 21st Century So Annoying?

Posted on 13 May 2009 by Ly Dang Le

Our current century is defined in terms of new technologies that are widely used all around the world. Science and technology are supposed to make our life easier and more enjoyable. However, they also create a distance between humans. Why is the 21st century SO annoying?

  • Everything requires a password - including a microwave oven.
  • You talk to people from different part of the world every single day, but haven’t talked to your neighbor in forever.

The impact of technology in our life is scary!

    MySpace addict?

  • When someone is telling you what he was doing yesterday, you have a feeling he already said that earlier. Then you realize you read his status on facebook.
  • If any of your friends don’t have facebook, MySpace, or e-mail address, you lose touch with them.
  • You can type this random chick’s MySpace nickname with your eyes closed; it’s [~4xC_C0o$cOo>cA<3CH0o~]. But you keep misspelling your English teacher’s name over and over again.
  • You feel like NAKED without your cell phone.
  • You have three phone numbers to reach one person: cell phone, work phone, and home phone. Finally you end up calling that person’s friend to reach him.
  • You know exactly what BTW, LOL, LMAO, and BYOB means. But you don’t know what NASA actually stands for (no, it’s not Need Another Seven Astronauts).
  • You text a person across the room “wasup” to receive a message saying “nm.”
  • Your eyes are laid on YouTube.com more than on TV.
  • You have no clue about your friends’ birthdays and important events, unless your reminder tells you.

Someone take me back to the Middle Ages?!
