As part of a series of events focused on local and state government, the junior social studies classes were visited by government officials. These events, held  October 20 - 22, included visits by Jeffersontown Councilwoman Anita Johnson, Jeffersontown Mayor Clay Foreman, and State Senator Dan Seum. The guests spoke about their personal lives, their day-to-day jobs, and then took questions from students and teachers. The events were planned by Dr. Jackson and included field trips to Jeffersontown Council meetings to get a better look at how government operates at a local level. Dr. Jackson was pleased with the way things turned out and is hoping to have more special guests and council meeting visits in the coming year.

Halloween in the Halls

Posted on 28 October 2009 by Stephen Delancey

On October 26, the hallway outside the cafeteria  looked more like the road to Oz and the passageway outside Office B resembled a haunted house as our school hosted the annual Halloween in the Halls.  Over 300 ghouls, princesses, transformers and a collection of other trick or treaters from the J’town area roamed  through the halls of  our school. Students from many different clubs and classes helped make it happen by decorating and passing out candy.  The Movie Club, Beta Club, The Imprint Staff,  Chargers in Action and the cheerleaders are just some of the groups who helped make the night frighteningly unforgettable!
